George Patton Gallery Exhibition, Habitat

I aspire to materialise a haven. In my practice, I explore the creation of a sanctuary where solace and security intertwine, a genuine home for both me and other kindred spirits in search of refuge. I centre my effort on the distinct tranquillity of submerged spaces. I aim to reflect on our intertwined relationship with water, its qualities, and philosophical values. Glass is a compelling material to me because I am searching for the balance of feeling secure and comforted even though there is the risk of having my habitat shattered at any moment.

Once I went to a fortune teller and I was told to live like water. Just like water, able to adapt and change fluidly and flow naturally along with my surroundings. Because my major elements from the four pillars of destiny are rock, gold and fire, water is an essential element to make these elements beneficial. I was advised to be close to water, such as living near water or people who have water as a major element and possess something that has a water quality.
